MOVEMENT FOR SCREEN series with Kayla Janssen

The MOVEMENT FOR SCREEN series is a great class for those who are curious about how to handle auditions for TV/film when casting/production is asking for movement.

Join Kayla Janssen for four, 2-hour sessions designed for actors with minimal or even no dance training who want access to how to be in the mix for auditions that involve character movement and dance elements.

These MOVEMENT FOR SCREEN sessions will teach the actor some dance basics that work for in-person and on-camera auditions.

You will also build and explore achievable choreography each session.

  • Each week will build upon the previous, and will include a warm-up, foundation drills, individual movement explorations, and adding onto choreography that will be executed in its full expression in the final video filming.
  • The final session (April 3), will also be a filming day, on location at Garry Marshall Theatre.
  • Once edited, the actors will receive the final video for their casting pages and other social media pages.
