The Hollywood Fringe Festival is opening two FREE pop-up COVID testing sites that will offer both PCR and rapid tests throughout the festival. With the recent rise in COVID cases across Los Angeles, festival organizers are encouraging artists and patrons to use the COVID testing sites frequently to ensure the safety of the greater community.
The testing sites will be located at the Complex Theatres & Studios and Thymele Arts, and will be open on Thursdays and Fridays from 1:30-8:30 PM on June 2-3, June 9-10, June 16-17, and June 23. Those who want to get tested at one of the sites must bring a photo ID, and while insurance is not required, it will be accepted.

The Hollywood Fringe maintains a strong commitment to the health and safety of performers, staff, press, and audience members, and is closely monitoring the local health and safety environment and guidelines. All performances at the Fringe will require either proof of vaccination against COVID-19, or a negative test result (conducted within 48 hours if PCR, or 24 hours if antigen). Home tests will not be accepted. The Hollywood Fringe is requiring masks at indoor Fringe-sponsored events, including Fringe Runway and all Fringe Cabarets. Venues and performances have various masking guidelines, but for the health and safety of performers, regardless of vaccination status, festival organizers strongly encourage every patron to wear a face covering inside the theater.
The current requirements, guidelines, and safety plan for audience members and artists can be found here. The current festival guidelines for isolation after a close contact exposure can be found here.
About The Hollywood Fringe Festival
The Hollywood Fringe Festival is an annual, open-access, community-derived event celebrating freedom of expression and collaboration in the performing arts community.
Participation in the Hollywood Fringe is completely open and uncensored. This free-for-all approach underlines the festival’s mission to be a platform for artists without the barrier of a curating body. By opening the gates to anyone with a vision, the festival can exhibit the most diverse and cutting-edge points-of-view the world has to offer. Additionally, by creating an environment where artists must self-produce their work, the Fringe motivates its participants to cultivate a spirit of entrepreneurialism in the arts.
